In Loving Memory of Anita Gibson

Anita Gibson, a brilliant mind with an insatiable thirst for adventure, passed away on 07/28/2023 in Olympia, Washington at the age of 65. She embraced the chaos throughout her life, fearlessly taking on new challenges and experiences.

Anita was an intelligent and witty soul. Her creativity knew no bounds; she found solace in writing poetry and expressing herself through drawing. A true book lover, she immersed herself in literature and cherished the works of her favorite authors, Stephen King and Dean Koontz, whose stories ignited her imagination.

Beyond her intellectual pursuits, Anita had a hidden talent in the kitchen. Those fortunate enough to have tasted her lasagna can attest that she had mastered the art.

Anita was preceded in death by her father, Stan Kopesec, and her cherished grandson, Joshua Manzanares. Her passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Kopesec. Anita's legacy lives on through her children, Joe Carlisle, Benito Manzanares, Miriah Manzanares, and Lance Sherman.

May we remember Anita for the laughter she brought, the beauty she created through her art and words, and the love she shared with those around her.

There will be a small service on August 19, 2023.
