Anna Mae Delaurenti, 95, of Renton WA passed away peacefully on June 22, 2023. Anna Mae was born in Cle Elum, WA on Dec 26th, 1927, the eleventh child of Joe and Janet DeVere. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Janet, husband Ivan, and 5 sisters and 6 brothers. She is survived by her four children, William Barich (Cynthia), Paulette Murchison (Richard), John Barich, and Karla Woods (Rick), 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1946. Mom always talked fondly of her high school memories and always enjoyed attending her class reunions. She moved to Renton in 1963 and met and married Ivan J Delaurenti.  Anna Mae worked as a bookkeeper for various companies in the Renton area, after retirement in 1990 she worked as a temporary office employee for the city of Renton. Even tho she was supposed to be retired mom started working at the local Hallmark store and finally retired for good in February 2015 at the age of 88!  She loved helping her customers find just what they were looking for and considered many of them friends.

Her love and devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her life.  She always looked forward to the annual family reunions and Christmas parties.  She loved visiting with all her siblings, nieces and nephews while enjoying the variety of goodies everyone brought for the pot luck.

Anna Mae's hobbies included sewing, gardening, playing the organ and listening to big band music, John Phillips Sousa being one of her favorites.  Mom and Ivan were married for 55 years and enjoyed playing golf together for many of those years including memorable trips to Palm Springs and Hawaii.   They also had a lot of fun trying to win their jackpots at local casinos in their spare time.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, Aug 24th at 2:00 pm at Belmor Park clubhouse, 2101 S. 324th St. Federal Way WA.  Refreshments to follow a short program celebrating her life.
