Bonita Marie Myrvil was born March 6,1939 to parents Alta and Melvin Myrvik. She had one sister, Marilyn (deceased) and brother Mervyn.

She attended Poulsbo Elementary School and North Kitsap Junior and Senior High School. In junior high she joined the band, playing the clarinet and became part of the marching band. In high school, she was a top student and song/cheer leader, giving her energy and loyalty to North Kitsap High School. She was a friend to everyone she knew, lightening up their world with her beautiful smile. 

During the summer between her junior and senior year Bonnie attended Edison Technology School in Seattle with plans of being Executive Secretary. Graduating in 1957, she married John Snouwaert and they lived in Poulsbo and on her birthday in 1958, they welcomed their precious son, Terry.

After a divorce, she moved to Seattle and worked at Boeing where she met Jim Greenfield, and they were married in 1989. Their love of life included outdoor sports, i.e. snow shoeing, boating, hiking, photography and traveling.

Bonnie was the sole keeper of records for the 1957 class of North Kitsap High School. She helped organize reunions every 5 years- last was 65th reunion in 2022- and created professional memory books for each classmate. Her biggest talent was not just in her creativity but the caring love she put into the reunion books. They were artistically created to resemble our senior Yearbook with the old pictures and new ones of each classmate with their story and family pictures. Classmates continued to check in with her, and she greeted many of us each morning with an inspirational message.

Upon retiring, Bonnie and Jim traveled extensively throughout the US, visiting friends and relatives along the way. Their travelogs and photography are amazing.

Bonnie loved life! She loved people! Her positive energy, her faith and big smile made every day a beautiful day to whomever she came in contact with.

At age 87, with husband Jim, and brother Merv by her side, Bonnie passed peacefully to her heavenly home July 12, 2026. Her light still lives on in each of us. 

Bonnie will be missed by ALL who knew her, but she is now in heaven where angels belong!
