Born on March 20, 1955, in Carroll, Iowa, Charles lived a life defined by quiet strength, deep love for his family, and an enduring connection to the water.

Charles found his greatest peace on the Puget Sound, where he loved fishing, boating, and simply being surrounded by nature's beauty. The water was his sanctuary—a place where he could reflect, recharge, and enjoy life's simple pleasures. His stoic and calm nature mirrored the tides he cherished, steady and unwavering, bringing comfort to all who knew him.

A man of few words but limitless wisdom, Charles had a remarkable ability to remain composed through life's challenges. His calm demeanor and quiet strength were a source of reassurance for his loved ones, teaching them the value of patience, resilience, and staying grounded. He approached life with grace and dignity, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Charles is survived by his wife Debra, his loving mother Cleo, his two children, Cori and Calen, who were his greatest pride and joy, as well as his siblings—Craig, Connie, Cris, Cathy, Jane, Peggy, Tom, Mark, and Jimmy—who shared countless cherished memories with him. His family was his anchor, and his love for them was unwavering.

Charles will be remembered for his warm smile, his steadfast kindness, and his ability to make everyone feel at ease. He was a man of profound generosity, always ready to offer a helping hand or a quiet word of encouragement. His legacy of love, strength, and calm will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
