On Sunday, October 22, 2023, loving father and life partner, Darrell Michael Plank, passed away peacefully at the age of 75.

Darrell was born May 7, 1948, in Petaluma, Calif., to his father, Albert Plank, and mother, Jacqueline Plank, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Petaluma High School. He spent most of his career as a lineman in California, Nevada and Washington State, retiring from both NV Energy and Seattle City Light, ultimately settling in Renton, Wash.

To all that knew him, Darrell was well-liked, well-loved and had a reputation for being quick to smile and to burst with genuine, infectious laughter. And it made him happy to see others smile and laugh around him, as he oftentimes selflessly put others ahead of himself. Darrell had a love of family, fishing and motorcycle riding. It would be common to find Darrell sharing a fishing spot with family, friends and co-workers on any given weekend. And when he wasn't fishing, he would share the open road with his motorcycle family on countless rides through the mountains, valleys, coastlines or wherever the road took them.

Darrell loved life and everyone that was in it with him. He is survived by his life partner, Judy Wyeth, his three children, Melody Wilson (husband Alan Wilson), Michael Plank and Jeremy Plank (wife Savanah Plank), his half-sisters, Jackie Clay and Pebbles Brown (late husband Hank Brown), his half-brother, Erik Plank (wife Robin Plank), his grandchildren Tyler Wilson (wife Sara Wilson), Andy Wilson (wife Hilary Wilson), Tyson Bell (wife Ashley Bell), Elizabeth Plank, Sarah Plank, Jeremiah Plank, and Ryder Plank, and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Darrell had a positive impact on the lives of so many, he will surely be missed. And his legacy will ride on.

Darrell will be honored in a private ceremony with his close family and friends, where his ashes will be committed at one of his favorite motorcycle riding destinations.

In place of gifts, anyone is welcome to contribute to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Darrell and his personal support of this cause.
