Don was a surgical RN for 37 years at Valley Medical Center Washington.  He was a US Navy Veteran, Past District Deputy, District 13 of the Grand Lodge of Washington.

He enjoyed traveling and camping with NW Gnome Mads – formerly NCT (National Camping Travelers).  He also enjoyed shooting and wood working.  He loved working with the Masonic Youth Groups Job's Daughters, DeMolay, and Rainbow for Girls.

He is Survived by his wife Mindy, Son Christopher Downing (wife Tammy) of Idaho. Anthony Downing of California, Kimberly Downing (Russ Moore), Larry Littman (wife Michaela) of Enumclaw; and Sister June Downing Michel of Florida.  3 grandchildren (Brittney Downing and Fiancé' Ricky Conn; Caden Pua, Andrew Littman.  Preceded in death by parents and three siblings.

Internment at Tahoma National Cemetery with Celebration of Life at a later date.
