Obituary

Evelyn Q Beard passed on June 15, 2026 where she was attended to by her three loving children Julie B.Rozell (Calvin), Krystine A Beard, her son Chester L Beard III, and her niece Kari Quaas (Oliver). She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert Quaas and Gertrud Quaas, her brother Ralph Quaas, and her husband Chester 'Bud' Beard Jr.

Two themes can characterize her life which are community service and family. She was a devoted wife of Chester L Beard Jr. They were married on June 15th, 1960 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Everett.

Evelyn Beard had been a teacher in Everett and gave that career up to raise her three children Julie, Buzz, and Krystie. As they grew she became involved in each club they joined.

Evelyn was a Campfire leader for her two daughters' Blue Bird groups and also organized several key fundraising activities for Campfire including their annual fundraising Fun-Run. Evelyn also helped with the organizing of her son's Cub Scout group.

Her focus then turned to her church Trinity Episcopal where she had been involved as a member of the Vestry, Finance Committee and involved in long term planning for the church for over 30 years.

As a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Evelyn was also asked to be part of the committee to distribute funds to rebuild Oso following the landslide in 2014.

She will be remembered and missed by her children and the members of Trinity Parish. Services are scheduled for July 11th at 2 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Everett just north of Everett High School.
