Gerald Francis Norton was born to the late Alice Whalen and Leo Norton in Boston, MA on March 24th, 1924. He graduated from Melrose High in Melrose, MA in 1942 and enlisted in the US Navy where he would travel the world and become a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired in San Diego, CA in 1977 and later relocated to Washington state in 1989. Jerry married his first wife, Mary Ellen Darcy, in 1949, begetting daughters Linda Patrice Norton and Jacqueline Suzanne Norton. He married his second wife, Estelle Eisenman, in 1977 and the final love of his life, Kathleen Fay Crippen in 1997. Jerry lived a full life before passing of natural causes on June 10th, 2023 in Sumner, WA. He is survived by daughters Linda Dilleshaw, Lacie Parrino and grandsons Aaron Dilleshaw and Jesse Radebaugh. Jerry was an avid student of history, poetry, baseball and especially a cappella singing, even performing with various barbershop quartets. Jerry was a beloved pillar of his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
