In Loving Memory of Geraldine Ann Westberg

Geraldine Ann Westberg, 75, passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2026.

Born December 1, 1950, at Seattle General Hospital, Geraldine was the cherished daughter of Bruce Loader and Jessie Loader Thomas. To those who loved her, she was known by several names: Geraldine, Ann, and Jerry.

A lifelong Washington resident, Ann grew up in Renton and later attended West Seattle High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball. Over the years, she built a life and made treasured memories throughout Renton, Kent, Maple Valley, and West Seattle.

Ann was a dedicated professional whose care, reliability, and organizational skill were evident throughout her career. She worked as an executive legal secretary in Los Angeles, California, before returning to Washington and beginning a 30-year career with King County. She retired in 2014 from the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where she served as an Office Administrative Lead. Her colleagues knew her as hardworking, capable, and committed to keeping everything and everyone on track.

Above all, Ann treasured her family and found joy in exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. An avid traveler and camper, she especially loved visiting Mount Rainier, Snoqualmie Falls, Ocean Shores, and Desert Aire. She had a gift for noticing and preserving life’s meaningful moments through photography and the scrapbooks she created with such care. Those albums remain a lasting reflection of the places she loved, the people she cherished, and the memories she wanted her family to hold close.

Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Leonard “Lenny” Westberg; her sister, Laura Charnley, affectionately known as “Aunt Sis”; and her five children, Douglas (Sandra) Wilson, David (Sarah) Wilson, Darren (Tina) Wilson, Desiree (David) Doolittle, and Jenee Westberg. She is also survived by her seven beloved grandchildren: Desiree, Finley, Jackson, Lincoln, Hailey, Zackary, and Lyric.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Loader and Jessie Loader Thomas.

Ann will be remembered for her warmth, love of adventure, attention to detail, and deep devotion to the people she loved. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Celebration of Life

A celebration of Ann’s life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Black Diamond Eagles (Green River Eagles #1490), 32618 Railroad Avenue, Black Diamond, Washington 98010.
