Gwendolyn K. Johnson 85 years old of Everett Washington died on September 21, 2026. Gwendolyn was born on February 10, 1941, to John and Annie Gibson in the charming town of Sheridan, Wyoming and moved to Everett, Washington in 1957.

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her devoted parents, John and Annie Gibson, her older brother, Lawrence Gibson, and her ex-husband, James Johnson Sr. Her legacy is carried on by her younger brother, Gale G. Gibson, and his wife, Valerie Gibson.

A proud graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1959, Gwendolyn pursued a career that was dedicated to the care and support of others. She retired after 16 years of dedicated service from the Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center.

Gwendolyn was survived by her children; James C. Johnson Jr. and his wife Joyce, Tina M. Standerfer and her husband Steven D. Standerfer, and Trent Gale, (who was adopted out) and his wife Robin.

Her six grandchildren: Amanda Standerfer, Christopher Standerfer, Stephanie Schaeffer, Christopher Gale, Sarah Gale, and Alex Gale. They, along with her three great-grandchildren, Connor Anderson, Amelia Anderson, and Charlotte Anderson, will forever remember their grandmother.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the dedicated nurses, bathers, and volunteers at Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care and support in honoring Gwendolyn's final wishes.
