Born in Boise Idaho in 1933 Hallie married hard rock miner Rusty Perron and had two daughters, Colleen and Linda. Later she divorced, moved to North Idaho, and married a silver miner, Ray Kannegaard. She had two more daughters, Judy and Jessica. Later, she had two sons Jim and Kim, divorced and this time she moved to Spokane, WA, and married master welder Jerry Franklin who she stayed with until his death in 2010.  Hallie was very creative, smart and business-minded. When she started working as a waitress, she soon managed the restaurant.  When she sorted items at a thrift store, she was soon manager at the Goodwill.  Independently, she turned her love of antiques, jewelry and glassware into a profitable career. After living in Renton, WA for over 40 years, Hallie widowed and moved to Auburn, WA where she resided until she passed.  Hallie remained close to her two daughters Colleen and Jessica, and her stepson Jerry Franklin Jr.  Among her many grandchildren are Hallie Malmoe, Roseburg, OR, Jessica Morales, Huntington Beach and Vagelis Frigis, Coeur d'Alene, ID and Joey Franklin, Renton, WA.
