It is with great sorrow that we share the loss of Harold H. Davis January 14, 2025. Harold grew up in Cut Bank, Montana and was a longtime resident of Renton, Washington, He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was highly respected as a kind, thoughtful, and generous person.

Harold was born August 15, 1932, in Cut Bank, Montana to Henry C. (Cut Bank School Superintendent from 1930-1963) and Gertrude Davis, and was the third of three children. The family traveled to Glacier National Park often, where they enjoyed the breathtaking views, family picnics, camping, hiking, and fishing. In later years, Harold and his siblings Wilma and Jack and their extended families continued to return to the Park to connect with nature and each other. Countless stories of the fun they had growing up and the mischief they created was shared around the campfire. Harold was the baby of the family and was nicknamed "squeak" because he was always making a ruckus and trying to keep up with his older brother Jack. Harold loved sports and lettered in football, basketball, track, and baseball throughout his years in the Cut Bank school system.

Harold married his high school sweetheart, Janet Schul, whom he would remain dedicated to for the rest of his life. In 1952 they welcomed a son, William, and moved to Great Falls, Montana where Harold served in the U.S. Air Force. When his enlistment was up, Harold attended Northrup Aviation College and received his associate degree in Aircraft Maintenance. From there the family moved to Renton, Washington, where daughter Linda was born in 1961. Around that time, Harold began a long career with Boeing, including an assignment with NASA in Houston, Texas supporting design and testing of space suits.  Later when back in Renton, he worked as a technician in a hydroponics lab growing plants in simulated space conditions. Harold also worked for a number of years for Pacific Car and Foundry in Renton, and played on softball leagues for both Boeing and Pac Car well into his 50's.

Harold loved sports and was a die-hard Mariners fan. Football was also a favorite, and he covered both bases with Washington college football – both as a Husky fan (where Bill attended) and Cougar fan (where Linda attended). The Apple Cup was always an event at the Davis household. Harold also loved horses and was often seen at riding competitions helping Linda and other riders in any way he could.

Harold was preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses - Jack (Ann) Davis and Wilma (Arthur) Fitzner. He is survived by his wife Janet and their children, Bill Davis and Linda (Rick) Sandahl, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. All will cherish the good times and love they got to share with him. He is greatly missed.
