James Atwood Stahelin Jr (Jim)
Born January 3, 1947 in Frankfurt Germany
Passed December 17, 2023 in Auburn Washington

Jim is preceded in death by both parents James Sr and Friedel Butler

Jim grew up in Seattle then the family moved to Renton in 1962 where he graduated from Renton High School in 1966.

Jim is survived by sister Kathy (Kay) Vergillo and brothers Richard Butler and William Stahelin.

He leaves behind sons Harry (Cap) Stahelin, David Morgavi, four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

After graduation Jim joined the US Marine Corps where he earned the Rifle Expert medal.  He served in Okinawa Japan and was discharged as 'Corporal', James Stahelin.

Jim was a skilled Journeyman Machinist and in the Union for 35 years.  He worked for several Seafood processing plants in Alaska, The GearWorks, Pac Car and retired from 'The SeattleTimes' newspaper.

Family and friends recall fondly his stories of Alaska and of course his love of Cool and Fast Cars.
