Born on September 18, 1944, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Kathleen was preceded in death by her loving parents Ruth and Kenneth Young and twin brother Ken "Butch" Young.

Kathleen is survived by her two brothers, Leroy Young (Patty) and Tom Young (Kathy), and her sister Joan Koontz. She also leaves behind four children, Blair Anderson, Simone Anderson, Johnny Matteson (Diane), and Dan Colbert, as well as two stepdaughters, Debbie Leenhouts and Marylynn Bendix (Al).

Kathleen will be remembered for her love of gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. She had a penchant for garage sales and couldn't resist buying a few things for herself and her loved ones, even if they didn't need them. She also enjoyed going to the casino, where she loved playing the slot machines.

Kathleen will always be remembered for her kind heart and fun-loving spirit. She brought joy to the lives of those around her, and her contagious laughter will never be forgotten. Kathleen was the life of the party, and she loved nothing more than dancing and listening to Conway and Buck. Her energy and enthusiasm for life were contagious, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Kathleen's passing has left a void in the lives of her family and friends, but her memory will live on through the love she shared with those around her.
