Larry Carl Bumpus was born on July 17, 1956, in Pernambuco, Brazil. He passed away on April 18, 2023, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 66. Larry worked as a night auditor at the Sorrento Hotel in Seattle. Larry married Zelia in 1984 and has been a resident of the Renton area for 11 years. He was a member of Overlake Christian Church. Larrry was an avid fan of the Flamengo soccer team in Brazil, loved watching matches and cheering for his team, greatly enjoyed watching his grandkids play and enjoying time with his family. Other hobbies included cross-stitching and reading dozens of thriller books each year. In his earlier years, he played the bass and percussion in the church band.

Larry is survived by his wife, Zelia Bumpus, step-son, Jorge Martins, son, Thiago Bumpus, daughter, Priscilla Poelmans, siblings; Linda Qualls, Allen Bumpus, grandchildren; Paul Poelmans, Elizabeth Tanaka Martins, Sophie Poelmans. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Frances Bumpas, sister, LaDonna Ugalde.
