Larry Edwin
Olsen
May 7, 1958 — Jan 28, 2026
Larry Olsen, age 67, of Tacoma, Washington, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Tacoma General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Larry was a devoted husband, proud father, grandfather, and loyal friend whose steady presence and kind heart left a lasting mark on everyone around him. Although his passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, his memory will live on through the many lives he touched.
Larry built a life centered on family, faith, hard work, and showing up for the people he loved. He was someone that always put others before himself --- dependable, caring, and generous with his time. Whether through quiet support or a warm sense of humor, Larry had a way of making others feel loved, welcome, and valued. Larry was the kind of man people naturally leaned on. Steady, dependable, and full of wisdom, he didn't need attention to make an impact. He simply showed up, day after day, for his family and for anyone who needed him. He had a way of making others feel comfortable and supported, often through simple acts of kindness, a listening ear, or a thoughtful word at exactly the right time. His family and friends will remember the way he made people feel --- safe, loved, and supported. The stories shared, the lessons taught, and the moments spent together will continue to bring comfort in the days ahead.
More than anything, Larry treasured his family. He shared a life built on love, faith, and partnership with his wife, Debbie, who stood beside him through the seasons of life. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and strong family bonds. Larry was a proud and devoted father to his children --- sons: Tyler, Chase, and Casey, daughter: Kylee, and grandchildren: Nathan, Skylar, and Westin --- and he took great pride in each of them. His love for his children and grandchildren was constant and unconditional. He found joy in their successes, growth, and simply being a part of their lives. Larry's love for his family was evident in everything he did, and the memories he helped create will be treasured forever.
Larry's legacy is found in his love for the Lord, the family he raised, and the values he passed down. Larry's memory will remain a guiding light to those who loved him --- a reminder of what it means to be loyal, compassionate, and devoted. Though he is no longer with us, he will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him most. He will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
