Mary M. Moon, born April 1,1940 in Valley City, North Dakota, died peacefully in hospice care on January 27, 2026. An Auburn, WA resident for over 60 years, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Moon Sr. and survived by her children, Gary D. Moon, Gregg Moon, and Christie Moon. Mary is remembered for being a loving mother, wife and a Democrat. She served as a Washington state delegate to the National Democratic Convention in 1976 and 1980. After raising her children, Mary served over 20 years at the Sergeant at Arms Office in the State House of Representatives and sold real estate with Century 21. Mary loved traveling to Mexico and enjoyed her grandchildren, Melissa Reseck, Lisa Robertson (Nick), Kenny Moon, Hannah Bonilla, Kara Caggiano (Matt), Gregg Anthony Moon, and her two great grandsons Henry and Nolan. A private celebration of life will take place in July.
