Nancy Elizabeth
Kendziora
Nov 17, 1948 — Nov 14, 2023
Tacoma
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our feisty and beloved mother, Nancy Elizabeth (Pray) Kendziora, who passed away on November 14th 2023, just shy of her 75th Birthday.
Born on November 17th 1948, in Tacoma, where she grew up with her sisters, Julie (Johnson) Elsdon, Elly Johnson, Rebecca Pray, Gereldine (Pray) Christiansen, Yolanda (Jarreau) Smith, and brothers Mark Johnson, Richard Johnson, Sam Jarreau. She was a loving wife to her late husband John F Kendziora, and a gutsy mother to her children, Staci (Postawa) Bailey (Albert Bailey), Tina Postawa, Jon Postawa (Denise Postawa), Abbyanne Postawa (Noah Clay), step-mother to Eric Kendziora (Allison), Eron Kendziora (Joanne), Evan Kendziora (Rebecca).
Nancy Kendziora lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for baking, and her homemade dishes were renowned and unique (Glump, if you don't know you have missed out). She also had a passion for sewing and loved making clothing and blankets for her Grandchildren, and Great Nieces and Nephews, which was always a joyful time for her. Nancy had many loves, reading books and going to see both new, and old movies in the theater, and lunch dates with her friends. What brought her the most joy was to love and spoil the family's babies.
In the words of Mr. Rodgers, Nancy was a helper, she was there for friends and family when they needed help. She had a knack for knowing what they needed, even if they didn't. She will be remembered for this, and her infectious smile and feisty personality.
She is survived by her 7 Children, 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, additionally, her powerfully loved nieces, nephews, cousins, second cousins, and all that she adopted into her heart, who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at Burs Restaurant in Lakewood December 16, 2023 from 3 PM to 6 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gift of Adoption Fund Inc, or the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Nancy Kendziora.
Mom, Rest in love. You will forever be in our hearts, memories, and stories.
