Nikolaus Alexandre Karwal, born at home in Kirkland, Washington, made his swift entrance into the world humming.  Being the only boy among four sisters isn't a job for the faint of heart, but it was one he fulfilled without complaint. Always down to be the male ballerina in dress-up or the dad when playing endless games of "family." His nickname, when he was young, was "helper boy," a testament to his kind heart and desire to assist others. Raised in Emmett, Idaho, on a small home farm, he cherished his dog, Junior. His love for animals was so profound that one day, when he spotted a pup at the supermarket, he couldn't bear the thought of it being without a loving home. So, he brought Lil' Pup home for his sister, Esther. Nikolaus possessed a keen appreciation for meaningful conversations and was drawn to songs and poems that resonated with profound meaning.   He found solace in these pursuits. Unexpectedly, Nikolaus succumbed to his illness at the tender age of 39. His mother and father, Lynda Reed and Matthew Karwal, along with his four sisters, Käryn Gaffney, her husband Ryan, Mishael Gibbs, her husband Kenneth, Anna Karwal, and Esther Karwal, will deeply miss his companionship. His grandparents, Dave and Barbara Reed, and Joe and Norma Karwal, are also bereaved by his passing.  His aunts and uncles, Mike Reed, Cheryl Reed, Craig and Cathy Karwal, Kathleen and Doug Cole, Tim Karwal, and Chris Karwal, along with his cousins, Kendall Reed, Brenten Reed, Gary Cole, Curtis Cole, Courtney Karwal, and Conrad Karwal, as well as his nieces and nephews, Jasmine Gibbs, Kenson Gibbs, and the Gaffney children, share in the profound loss of a life that was cut short.  He will be buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Renton, Washington, on December 4, 2025.
