Norma Ellen (Irish) Boyle, age 71, of Snohomish, Washington, passed peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington.

Born in Portland, Oregon, on November 14, 1953, Norma was the cherished daughter of Janet Vivian (Steele) Irish and William Thomas Irish. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Vernon Keith Irish and Harvey (Neal) Irish.

Norma lived a life full of adventure and heart. In her youth, she loved to travel and fondly recalled a memorable trip to Hawaii in the late 1960s with her grandparents. Her passion for exploring continued throughout her life, including a special journey with her son Christopher to attend Easter Mass at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome in 2015.

In her later years, Norma found joy in sewing and quilting, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and cheering on her beloved Seattle Seahawks. Her warmth, creativity, and devotion to family will be deeply missed.

Norma is survived by her children: Benjamin Keith Whipple, Christopher Robert Boyle, and Stephanie Louise Boyle; her grandchildren: Bryan Curtis Whipple, Charles Frederick Sprague IV, Declan Michael Peterson, Raiden Christopher Peterson, and Oaklen Shane Peterson; her sister, LaRonda (Irish) Durrant; and her long-time life partner, Roy Watson.

A celebration of Norma's life will be held in the spring, when the weather allows for the kind of gathering she would have loved—surrounded by family, friends, and sunshine. Details will be shared once plans are finalized.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to your local food bank in Norma's honor, reflecting her generous spirit and care for others.
