Raymond Daniel Angeledes was born on July 8, 1934, in Michigan City, Indiana. He passed away on May 7, 2023, in Everett, Washington, at the age of 88. Ray was born to Charles Franklin Angeledes (d.1969) and Gerda (Wick) Angeledes (d.1996). Ray was happily married for 63 to the love of his life, Elise Marie (Pratt) Angeledes, who departed this world in 2018. They Raised two sons, Ross Edwin Angeledes (b. 1960), and Michael Kerry Angeledes (b. 1961). Ray is also survived by his two beloved grandsons, Russell Edward Angeledes, and his namesake Raymond Daniel Angeledes II, both of Everett WA, as well as his eldest brother, Charles Franklin Angeledes, jr of Arlington WA. Ray was proceeded in death by his sister Joyce, and brothers, Ron and Marvin, who he was very close to. He leaves behind countless friends, especially the Sagebrush and Trout gang, his best friend Doug, and cousins, nephews, and nieces, all of whom he enjoyed immensely. He also leaves behind Stahr, his and Elise's beloved German shepherd.

In 1996, Ray and Elise found their dream retirement home along the Satsop River in Grays Harbor County. They had 25 wonderful years there gardening, raising wild birds for release, and for Ray, building wooden boats, and amazing handcrafted wooden musical instruments. Ray became well known for his custom guitars. Ray had a storied career.  An Electrical Engineer by education, he served in the U.S. Army as an instructor for the NATO Radar Operations School for officers from NATO countries in the mid 1950's. He also worked on the Apollo 9 program for NASA, building the timing computer with Elgin Industries. Later, he moved his family from Hoffman Estates, Illinois to Duvall Washington to become an Engineering Program Manager for United Control/Sunstrand.

Ray was also instrumental in establishing several businesses in the avionics and tech industries, and was CFO and partner to his son Ross at Odyssey Collectables in Everett the last few years.

All who knew Raymond Angeledes will miss his warmth, his charm, his rather fantastic story telling, his fishing knowledge, and his ability to figure things out. Most of all, his son will miss his wonderful father and best friend.

A celebration of Raymonds life will take place on July 8, 2023, Rays 89 ^th birthday on Harstine Island from his good friends in Sagebrush and Trout.
