Dick was born in Silverton, OR and lived in Oregon for most of his life, moving to McCleary, WA in 2015. He was an attorney, a business owner, and an extraordinary community volunteer. He served in the Army in Vietnam earning two Army Commendation Awards. He belonged to Lambda Chi Alpha and the American Legion. Dick served on the Marion County Planning Commission, the Stayton City Council, the Stayton Fire District Board, the North Santiam School District, Rotary, multiple food banks, and in many other organizations over the years. He was named the Stayton/Sublimity Man of the year, the Stayton High School Volunteer of the year and received special recognition from the Stayton/Sublimity Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club. In addition to his volunteer work, Dick enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, and baseball games. Survivors include his former wife, Joan Morley of Tumwater, sister, Karen Morley of Jefferson, daughter, Cassie Morley of Olympia (Ryan Roysdon), granddaughter, Greta Morley-Dixon of Olympia, and great-granddaughter, Loveday Kaiser of Olympia.
