Robert passed on September 2, 2024, after a few months of a terminal illness. Robert was born November 27, 1956, in Seattle, WA. He was 67.

He was a National Merit Scholar at age 14 and attended the University of Washington. He worked as a glazier and as an artist. He enjoyed painting, writing, and Horticulture. Later in life he was known as Alyx.

His exceedingly high intelligence kept him inquisitive and curious, and allowed him a photographic memory. He was a lover of life and enjoyed reading. A vast lexicon of knowledge and his ability to make friends will always be cherished.

Surviving Robert are his sister, Gracemarie (Gracie) Mittag and her Husband, Lynn Mittag, a well as a niece, Maile, and a nephew, Jake. Gracie and Robert's parents preceded him in death.
