Obituary

With profound sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of Shayla Frances Hopper, who left this world on February 22, 2026, at the age of 35.

Born on August 20, 1990, Shayla was a beautiful soul with a radiant smile and a heart that loved deeply. She had a vibrant spirit, a tender heart, and a way of making those around her feel seen and cared for.

Throughout her life, Shayla faced personal challenges that were often heavy and difficult. She fought battles that many never fully saw, showing strength and vulnerability along the way. While her journey was not always easy, it was marked by love, resilience, and a heart that never stopped caring for those close to her.

Above all else, Shayla loved her son, Camdyn. He was her greatest joy and the center of her world. Her love for him was fierce, unconditional, and everlasting.

In her final act of generosity, Shayla gave the gift of life through organ donation, continuing her legacy of love and selflessness.

She is survived by her son, Camdyn Charles West; her mother, Rhonda Hopper; her brothers, Tim Hopkins, Matthew Arnett and Adam Hopper; and her sisters, Ashley Hopkins, Paula Hopper, and Monica Karki. She also leaves behind extended family and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hopper.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family. In Shayla's honor, the family asks for continued compassion and understanding for those who are struggling in silence.

Though our hearts are broken, we hold tightly to the love she gave and the memories she leaves behind. Her light lives on in her son and in all who loved her.

Forever in our hearts.
