Sueko Georgiadis was born on January 7, 1933. She was the youngest of 10 siblings.

She always told the story of how she remembers when she was very young that her family owned a sugar plantation and life was good. She remembers that during the war everything was taken away or destroyed. She lost 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and her father early. She grew up on a small island called Tokonoshima where her school was destroyed and food was hard to come by. This is where her family gained strength and resilience to survive.

Later she moved to Okinawa where she met Iraklis Georgiadis who was stationed there with the US Army. After Sueko became pregnant they moved to the United States to start their family. Billy and Litsa were both born in Tacoma Washington near Fort Lewis. They were raised mostly in the Seattle area.

Sueko worked for The Down Factory on Capitol Hill where she made down comforters and down jackets.

In 1982 they retired in Sequim Washington where they built a home 2 blocks from the Dungeness Spit. For the next 18 years they enjoyed most of their time fishing and harvesting seafood.

After Iraklis passed away in 2000, Sueko moved to live near her family.

She loved and enjoyed her family and friends. She was happy and content and, as she would say,

"I always try to keep my mind positive."
