Thomas Locks Jr

We are sad to announce the passing of Thomas J. Locks Jr. He passed away at his home in Renton on September 12, 2026.

Tom grew up in the Newport Hills area of Bellevue, where he met many of his lifelong friends. He loved sports and played soccer and baseball and competed in swimming. Even as an adult, he continued playing in a softball league.

Tom especially loved baseball and football. He rarely missed watching the Mariners and Seahawks.

You could ask him almost anything about baseball or football, and he would know the answer. Tom's career was varied, and he enjoyed being independent and working for himself. He owned a business repairing rock chips in car windshields. For a time, he worked for an insurance company investigating insurance fraud. He also photographed celebrities, and his photos were featured in many popular magazines, on television, and even on a billboard in Times Square.

Tom loved meeting celebrities and collecting their autographs. He would travel to California and other places to meet them. He also loved river fishing.

Tom loved animals and had three cats: Simba, Bella, and Dusty.

Due to his health issues, Tom couldn't get out and enjoy many of the activities he loved. He stayed in touch with friends who continued to take part in his favorite activities so he could stay up to date and connected to the things he enjoyed.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Locks Sr. and Vera Locks, as well as his granddaughter, Larissa.

He is survived by his girlfriend of 31 years, Ann; his children, Nicole and Todd Locks; and his grandchildren, Italia, Javian, and Trystn.

We love you and miss you, Tom.

You will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 7. The location is to be determined.
