A life lived with passion

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Tyger Elliot Robinson who was tragically taken from us in a car accident on April 8, 2025. Throughout his life, Tyger lived with fearless determination, a profound sense of purpose, and an insatiable curiosity. He was always moving forward—every moment an opportunity to learn, overcome obstacles, and share his passion.

Tyger was a devoted son, a dedicated student and apprentice, and a loyal friend. A gifted mechanic, his craftsmanship was meticulous, his understanding of machines nearly instinctual. Tyger never did anything halfway—not when fine-tuning an engine, chasing a dream, or lending a hand. He approached life with an unstoppable spirit and a determination that turned obstacles into challenges worth solving.

Born and raised in Bellevue, Washington, Tyger thrived at Yellow Wood Academy on Mercer Island, where his love of learning was encouraged in academics as well as his personal areas of interest which included motors, music, drawing, anime and video games.

While still in high school, Tyger secured an apprenticeship at Schmitt Automotive, a respected independent Mercedes repair shop in Renton, WA. During his short apprenticeship, Tyger's eagerness to learn and talent for problem-solving so impressed the father and son owners that they offered him a permanent position and he embarked on a career that he loved. After a few years Tyger expanded his Mercedes & BMW automotive experience to other types of cars in a new job at Auto Pro, another great repair shop in Renton, while continuing special projects on weekends with his friends at Schmitt.

Tyger had a particular fascination with two-stroke motors. He was drawn to the mechanical artistry of GoPed gas-powered scooters for the quirks, efficiency, and character. His unique perspective and love of detail was present in almost everything he encountered.

Tyger wasn't just a wizard with machines—he was a master of mischief. His humor was razor-sharp, delightfully unpredictable, and occasionally just plain ridiculous. He could argue a point with absolute conviction, only to flip positions moments later if you made a better case. It was an endearing trait that made conversations with him unpredictably fascinating and enjoyable.

His interests were wide-ranging, from classic films like Robinson Crusoe on Mars to Japanese racing anime. Online, Tyger cultivated a vibrant space where he exchanged tips, posted thrilling GoPed videos, and built community with fellow enthusiasts who shared his love for speed and mechanical precision.

More than anything, Tyger was selfless. He showed up—for his family, for his friends, and for anyone who needed a hand. His creativity, keen insight, and boundless enthusiasm enriched the lives of all who knew him.

Though Tyger's journey was unexpectedly cut short, his impact endures—felt in every engine he perfected, every friend he supported, and every moment of laughter he sparked. His legacy lives on through the wisdom he shared, the kindness he gave, and the love he left in the hearts of those who knew him.

Tyger is survived by his mother Meredith Robinson, father Anthony Robinson, grandmother LaRita Robinson, aunts Lisa Waugaman, Laura Robinson, and Lana White, uncles Melton and Marshall Welch, Don Waugaman and Bruce White, and cousin Isaac White.
