Vickie Diane Kern passed away-peacefully-surrounded by her family in Olympia, WA. Vickie was born just north of San Diego in Oceanside, CA, on December 30 of the year 1947. She was 77. She was first and foremost a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. These roles she held with deep love and pride. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in time spent with them, whether through everyday moments or just simply being present.

Those that survive Vickie are: daughters, Bobbi Hughes, Sandra Curtiss, Linda Zeis, and Kimberly Kern; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are: her parents, James and Madeline Rowland; her husband, Edward; Brother, Kenneth; and Sisters, Linda Russell and Sharon Lauderbaugh.
